Taipei Holiday Trip - Day 1 (12th-16th April 2010)

We reached Tanjung Aru Terminal 2 Airport around 4:00am, Paul and Shirley already there. Our flight to Taipei is 6:00am, waited for check in.
On the plane we swopped sit with a couple cause they were seated separately, so I was seated with the couple. We didn't sleep on the plane, chatted until we reach Taipei. We took a cab to the hotel, we stay in Grandee Taipei Hotel in Shilin, taxi fare was around NT$1200 (RM120). We leave our luggage at the reception, cause our room only ready at 3pm then we make a move to Xi Men Ding taking cab, fare RM20 cause on the way we ask and stop by the side to snap photos of the place we have to go for food recommended by the taxi driver, we got a really nice and friendly taxi driver.

Taiwanese Mee Hoon, completely different texture

here come our noodle, we are so hungry.....

We all ordered noodle soup (RM5), the soup was extremely good, goes very well with the noodle, not oily, sweet and refreshing feeling hmmmm...ahhhh but not the pork meat, hardly can bite in, I didn't eat it

This is what we're here for, Salted Duck (RM70) I guess, I will update you the name of this dish again, we ordered 1/2 Duck (actually it was goose but they call it duck), the meat just cook at the right time, tender juicy sweet and with a slightly saltiness, you don't need any sauce at all, we wallop all including the noodle....wow! Who said Taiwanese food no good, maybe they don't really do their homework and search for the best restaurant in town.
