Manneken Pis’s fries @ Amsterdam

Image
Manneken Pis’s fries or chips are probably the most famous food items in Amsterdam, famously served and eaten by the locals topped with rich mayonnaise, the Vlaamse Frites (Flemish fries) as they are known here. Manneken Pis’s ranks so high because it uses freshly sliced potatoes instead of frozen ones, fries them in fresh fat, and liberally salts the fries before copiously slathering them with one of the twenty-odd sauces and condiments on offer.  On a Friday or Saturday night or early morning, don’t be surprised to see throngs of people waiting in line so they can sate their drunken or stoned munchies with a portion of fresh fries. If you have to succumb to your fast food urges, you could stand to do a whole lot worse.

Cafe Restaurant Dee Zeewse Herberg @ Zierikzee, Netherlands

Image
Zierikzee is a small city, located on the former island of Schouwen in the Dutch province of Zeeland. After a bit of sightseeing and walking around in Zierikzee we sat down for our lunch at Dee Zeewse Herberg. The restaurant is situated in a 17th century building, it was reasonable filled up with people at lunch hour. It has a pleasant atmosphere, service is very good, proprietor and together with waiters are well in control and know how to give you the feeling of being their guest. If you are in the Zierikzee area and I would highly recommend you not to miss this restaurant for their good food and reasonable prices.

Rancho Steakhouse @ Amsterdam

Image
Rancho Steakhouse was the first restaurant I drop by for lunch in Amsterdam. It's a cross in between Argentinian culture inspired by South America cowboy lifestyle food, with a mix up of old fashion service and modern dishes. Beef steak is their popular order here as they only use the best quality beef.
