RESTORAN YUYI @ Old Klang Road

We found this fabulous place for Bak Kut Teh and Steamed Fish Head, it has been one of our favourite dinner place, this restaurant also have a long history in Old Klang Road. The food here not only good but cheap and the service was excellent. This restaurant is located a few shop away from the ever famous "Ah Wang Bak Kut Teh Stall".

Restoran Sang Mewah is located near Telekom in Taman Desa patronised by many locals nearby the area, it is always overflowing with customers during lunch and dinner hours. You can find free parking after office hour but hardly any parking during lunch time. Their signature dish are Steamed Fish Head or Steamed Fish with Assam Sauce and other home style cooked dishes, ask the wait staff for recommendation.

There are a lots of good food located at Old Klang Road area, most particularly good in bak kut teh and steamed fish. Many restaurants that stretched along winding road, dozens of it. Finding the right place can be a bit tricky. This is my regular place for steamed fish place and is highly recommended by many. Ah Wang Bak Kut Teh, it's located at the road side under the fly over right before Scott Garden. Although this place is named Ah Wang Bak Kut The but their signature dish is actually the steamed fish head in 4 options of sauces (assam, bean paste, ginger or soy sauce). This is a must visit or dining place for every trip I'm in KL. Heavenly good steamed fish head, highly recommended you order Assam and Bean Paste Sauce for your steamed fish head, try it!

While the name of the restaurant might be deceiving, their signature dish is actually Steamed Fish in Superior Soup with a variety of seafood. As for me, I find their Steamed Fish with Ginger tasted really good.

Located at the roadside of Old Klang Road, Meng Kee attracted huge crowd daily. Most of the patrons comes mainly for their awesome Steam Fish Head, which could be sold out during weekend and public holiday.

Restoran Soon Huat Klang Bak Kut Teh @ Kuchai Lama

Klang is where they said the origin or birthplace of Bak Kut Teh, now is widely available everywhere in Malaysia, we don't have to travel all the way to Klang for it. Klang BKT has a signaficant slightly thicker type of soup or broth, to some people the heavier in herbs and color made it tasted better. Don't be suprised at Soon Huat Restaurant, one of their signature dish is actually Steam Fish Head with ginger, garlic and onion paste, which can be sold out as early during weekend and of course you must try their Signature's Big Bone Klang BKT. Others recommended dish: Salted Fish Pork Meat Cake, Chili Fried Kampung Fish, Pork Leg Vinegar, Baked Salted Chicken, Assam Cuttle Fish and etc.

Big Mouth Bak Kut Teh stall in Chinatown has been around since 1988 located right next to the noisy traffic area around Jalan Tun HS Lee. The old stall is situated next to Guan Di Temple which is impossible to miss it, they serves one of the best tasting bak kut teh in Chinatown. I found their branch stall in Old Klang Road located next to the wet market (next to the post office)
