Restoran Juara is a well-known place for delicious and halal Chicken Rice in KK. They had a few branches located respectively at Kingfisher, Inanam, Penampang and Sulaman Sentral.

Yummy Duck Roast House is a cosy restaurant located in Jalan Kuchai Lama, it has been in business since 2009. Their specialties on roast duck (local) and goose (imported) as their house specialty, which consistently roasted to perfection, crispy skin and tender meat. Another signature dish is the Three Combination Noodle, the springy noodles are imported from Hong Kong and serve together with of this 3 combination roast duck, roast chicken, roast pork belly, BBQ Char Siew, spare ribs, wanton, dumpling and minced pork. You'll get a hotel standard food at a reasonable price here.

Restoran Meng Shiang in Taman Cheras is a must-try place, famed for its char siew (BBQ pork) and wantan noodles. I was told that this place serves "the best char siew in Cheras". The owner's husband learnt how to roast char siew from a Hong Kong chef, and the couple have been selling the roast meat for over 20 yrs. Customers can wait up to 30-40 minutes for this delicious wantan noodle. this stall is super popular. Apart from char siew, the stall also serves barbequeued pork ribs, which are a rare treat nowadays. Not many hawkers can produce premium-grade char siew that is tasty and tender. Instead of slicing the slab of char siew, Janet chops them into thick pieces of char siew and served with the noodles.

Peking Duck @ Solaris opened on an auspicious date 11.11.11, it's one of the latest member of the Palace Group of Chinese restaurants (which includes Imbi Palace, Pavilion's Grand Palace and PJ's Jaya Palace). This is the newest outlet for the Palace Group of restaurants which choose to specialise in Peking Ducks. The interior is inviting with a spacious high ceiling settings and brightly light up dining hall, it created a comfortable and cosy feeling. For more privacy, you can dine or make a reservation at their 3 private rooms located on the mezzanine floor with a fully equipped karaoke system. Why not have a relaxing alfresco dining, this area can cater to steamboats too.
