Improv Bistro is a place which will prove very difficult to categorise. Months after my initial visit to the place, and a few subsequent visits later, I am still struggling to describe to you my impressions of the place. It is a place that defies being judged and dares you to comeback again, again and again to savour it's complexity. Let me tell you, in the time I took up writing for this blog, I have been to quite a few posh places in the region on land and sea, and this place did not fail to impress.

Chef Alexy Fuchs is set to rekindle and tantalize your taste buds this August 6th till 12th. Join us this August 6th till 12th 2016 at Mezze Bistro, to experience the creative and exquisite style of young star Chef Alexy Fuchs. In collaboration with Kronenbourg Brewery, Mezze’s executive group head chef, Yves Pierre Renou and Chef Fuchs will showcase a week of cuisine that’s distinctively true to their home in Alsace, France. Fuchs is currently helming Le Gavroche, a one-star Michelin restaurant in the scenic town of Strasbourg, Alsace region, France – which where Kronenbourg Brewery hails from. This is Fuchs’ second visit to Malaysia.

For one night only, Chef Carlos Montobbio from Esquina Singapore joins forces with Mezze's resident Head Chef Yves Pierre Renou for a menu of small plates with big Spanish and Asian flavours. Expect an eight-course small plate tasting menu of grilled Spanish octopus, oyster with jalapeno ponzu, pigeon with forest berries escabeche and others.
