The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) announced the Top 14 finalists of the Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 at the Palace of the Golden Horses today following a search over the span of six months. The Top 14 finalists to vie for the crown of Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 are (in alphabetical order): Alicia Tan, Ariessa Lam, Cindy Ng, Dhivya Dhyana, Hazelin Ng, Jennifer Ling, Kiran Jassal, Lina Soong, Loveena Ruben, Nisha Sema, Rema Rao, Chow Shiat Teen, Swarna Naidu and Yeoh Yen Nee.

An estimated 1000 strong crowd, consisting of the creme de la creme and notable professionals from the modeling, fashion, and beauty industry, were in attendance at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel and Spa on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 to witness prestigious awards bestowed upon esteemed individuals and teams responsible for contributing to the success of our country’s modeling industry, during the inaugural Malaysia Model Festival Awards (MMFA). The award winners at this ground-breaking event of the local modeling scene, which was proudly presented by Kronenbourg 1664, were determined by voting from peers, professionals, members of the media and celebrated VIPs of the modeling industry. The full list of awards presented, with its respective winners, are as follows.

Amber Chia Academy has proudly produced her first batch of graduates. More than 90 students from the Amber Chia Academy Jaya One and Melaka branch celebrated their graduation with a fashion show that was held in 1 Utama on the 17th April 2012. Since being founded just a year ago, ACA has won a few awards at international and national events such as the Asia Model Festival Awards. Malaysian top model Amber Chia is tremendously proud of what her graduates have achieved the past year, and hopefully, this brand new batch of upcoming make-up artists and models will go on to make Amber Chia Academy even prouder.

AMFA Wrap Party: The winners and the finalist of Asia Model Festival Awards New Face Model Search (Malaysia) 2011 were presenting an exclusive fashion show featuring Keith Kee Couture 2012 Spring Collection and Aunty Connie (owner) of Overtime Rivercity Jalan Ipoh was one of the main sponsored for the event. Keith's latest prêt-à-porter collection shows off a modern vintage concept, particularly his cheongsams which have consistently been best-sellers in his boutiques. Keith believes that, "A glamourous wedding gown is one that flatters a woman's natural shape and curves. It is a dress that draws out her inner beauty, allows her to fully express her character and lets her be herself. Each bride is unique so each dress is a distinctive new creation that has to reflect her individual personality, style and dreams and not merely a mimic of the latest trends."

Nila Palocias Fashion Show on the 7th January, a charity event, in conjuntion with the "Colours of Life", a celebration of life, arts and culture at Equatorial Hotel Kuala Lumpur from 5th January to 6th February 2012. Nila Palacios Latin Fashion know you're beautiful, they're just helping you shine through a little more! As the year comes to and end, the spirit of celebration can be felt everywhere, especially among the graduating class of Fashion and Retail Design students of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology's International, presenting another edition of their infamous Creativity in Motion Fashion show. This term's class of 18 designer from 6 will show off their collections drawing from inspiration, such as Arabic Abayas, Indian textiles, Japanese Samurais and etc....with their contemporary twist.
