A couple of weeks ago, Ken invited us to go for dinner at Calorie, Sri Petaling. I was delighted to accept the invitation since it happened to be a place I visit frequently for lunch! To me, Calorie is a Hong Kong Style Restaurant that serves healthy and delicious food with a twist. They try to add in some element of fruits or vegetables to make the dish not only attractive but beneficial to health. Their all-time signature dish is the Pork Chop with Pumpkin rice, something that we would be trying later that night.

Seafood Restaurant is one of my favourite place for dinner. Apart from being convenient, they also serves good Assam Fish Head. However, don't be confused by the name of the restaurant, it wasn't really a seafood restaurant. It is just a 'Tai Chow' place.

Nyonya House @ 1 Borneo

Having the unique flavour, Pongteh is one of the special dish from the Nyonya recipes. During my childhood, as far as I remembered, my grandma loves to blend some sambal belacan to go with the dish. It was our family's way of eating the Pongteh.

Traditionally, Dongpo pork is a Huangzhou dish created by Su Dongpo. The pork is cut to around 2 inches square in dimensions, consisting of half fat and half lean meat. The mouth feel is oily but not greasy, with the fragrance of wine.

I found this Otak-Otak Place in Tropicana City Mall, their 3rd outlet up to-date (1st in 1Utama and 2nd in Giant, Kota Damansara). This outlet has a whole new different look from the other two, I have to say that this is my favourite outlet cause I like the look of this place and the improvement on their food. Fusion food of old meets new style cafe.

When we walked in, I didn’t believe it was Penang Village. White and black interior decor. Including chairs and tables and their plates! Urban atmosphere while having great Penang food. Overall, I really like the food there. It’s Penang food for KL people.

Our Malaysian favourite Nasi Lemak, is traditionally comes with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg, and hot spicy sauce (sambal) at its core. As a more substantial meal, nasi lemak can also come with a variety of other accompaniments such as chicken, cuttlefish, cockle, shrimp floss, pickled vegetables (achar), beef rendang (beef stewed in coconut milk and spices) or paru (beef lungs).

This Taiwanese restaurant is one of Malaysian favourite and they have 4 outlets through out Klang Valley, serving Taiwanese street food and upmarket food. Be prepare to baffled by the enormous crowd surrounded this place. You can hardly find a table that is unoccupied.

Famous for Fish Head Noodles, with choice of  Ling Yue, Song Yue, grouper (garoupa), fresh water prawns (sang har) and fish paste. And also to have fried fish head or raw fish head to cooked with your noodle. The price range for a bowl of noodle is around RM6.00-RM18 .00. A special condiment, chilli paste is served upon order of  noodle comes with half piece of lime to enchance the taste.
