The style of cooking and the foods associated with the Philippine cuisine have evolved over several centuries from its Austronesian origins to a mixed cuisine with Spanish, Mexican, European, American, Chinese, Indochinese, and other Asian influences adapted to indigenous ingredients and the local palate. Being a Malaysian who used to explored with a variety of cuisines, Philippine cuisine seems to be close to similar with the Chinese cuisine.

Featured in the blog before, Masarap Filipino Cuisine is one of the restaurant in KK that serves Philippine cuisine. Some of the popular dishes included the Crispy Pata (deep-fried pig's leg), Lechon Kawali (Pan-Roasted Pork), adobo (chicken and/or pork braised in garlic, vinegar, oil and soy sauce, or cooked until dry) and pansit (noodle).
