Kechara Oasis Restaurant founder Irene Lim (Director) is an avid traveller and well-versed in Buddhist philosophy, health, nutrition, food, meditative equipoise and tantra. While she was still working in a bank, she also dabbled in graphic design, cooking and writing. Inspired by H.E. Jaya One post again! I've always been told that Duck King serves good quality and tasty food. We found out that it actually got set lunch and yea we sure went and tried. The set lunch is really worth to try. Food is really nice with cheap price, you really shouldn't miss this!

If you always been in Jaya One, then you should know this modern Japanese casual dining place – Marufuku Udon~! They claimed themselves the first and only fresh udon concept in Malaysia. The udon is handmade and delivered to the outlet daily.

Last weekend, we had yet another birthday celebration with my fellow tweeps! This time, it was a double celebration of Merryn‘s and Eric‘s birthdays! After such raving reviews on this udon place, we all finally decided to go to Marufuku for lunch. Marufuku is known for its udon, so without question, all of us had udon. The menu for udon was very straightforward and clear, 2 pages of udon with various toppings at the pricing of only maximum RM10 per bowl.

From the outside, Kafe Brisik doesn’t really draw you in. Besides the laminated menu with less than impressive photography of the food, the rather tacky banner and blown up food photos plastered on the outside hardly helped. If that is not enough to turn you away then maybe the unbearable silence from within the restaurant might. On this particular Sunday lunchtime, patrons were conspicuous by their absence. It really doesn’t help Brisik’s cause with the Duck King next door packed to the rafters and queues developing outside. This was truly an experiment in food quality as a function of a restaurant’s occupancy.

Kissaten - meaning cafe in Japanese, is home to a myriad of great food and beverages! If you think it's just another regular cafe, you'll be shamed. From pizzas, pastas, to katsu don to satisfy any glutten. There's also salads, sandwiches to please those with light palattes. Die hard fans of local favourites have to try the lam mee or kueh teow soup, and milk tea aka teh tarik! Then there's the side dishes one of which is the unique crispy curry chicken roti served fresh from the oven.

The 1st visit was quite a long time ago, last Christmas eve. Quite a number of us went there, including TTM, our client. We actually wanted to try its set lunch but too bad it was public holiday eve so they din offer any set lunch. That was our 1st visit to Brussels Beer Café and I didn’t really enjoy it much due to its slow service. We waited about half and hour before our pasta was actually served. And one more thing was that we haven’t tried its set lunch and this brought us for the 2nd visit. As we went there on Friday, we definitely can only choose those were in the categories of ‘Friday’.  The environment was nice and cozy but it was not spacious.
