G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai both have stepped up the battle against plastic pollution and have stopped using the plastic straws as of October 2018. The hotels found an alternative for this initiative by introducing the use of paper straws.

In this third quarter of the year, the award winning sister hotels, G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai have added another 12 internationally recognised awards into its collection. This further affirms its service standards amongst business and leisure travellers.

G Hotel donated some furniture to Tenaganita (Women’s Force) Penang, a Malaysian human rights and non-government organization to further enhance their new working space and office facilities so that they can have a better working environment to continue helping the female community.

G Hotel welcomes Jaya Nazreen, Executive Assistant Manager and Mark De Souza, Director of Sales and Marketing onboard to continue spearheading the team towards a journey of success. Jaya’s illustrious career started off with being in the operational F&B team such as Four Seasons Langkawi and later became the Director of F&B in The Datai Langkawi and Eastern & Oriental Penang to name a few. He was then appointed as the Resort Manager at The Datai Langkawi after joining back the team again prior to his last position in St Regis Maldives as an Executive Assistant Manager, which was before getting onboard in G Hotel. His passion for hotel operations has given him the opportunity to work in the local and also at oversea hotels.

G Ball is G Hotel Gurney annual corporate appreciation dinner to thank all the clients and partners that have been supporting us throughout the years. Themed in circus with the title “The Greatest Show” this year, we saw over 300 guests including media and bloggers joining us that night.

The five star G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai garnered 7 more global prestige hospitality award recognitions collectively in the final quarter of the year 2016, denoting another milestone made from its excellence and top notch hospitality. On 20th October, G Hotel Kelawai was announced as the winner by The Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards 2016 for Best Design Hotel in Continent level and Best Lifestyle Hotel in Country level during a dazzling Awards Gala Ceremony hosted at the magnificent Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi.
