ATI College 13th Annual Dinner @ Star City Convention Center

Image
Dinner and dance occasion is one always cherished by students. I too had my fair share whilst studying in college years ago. I was again honored to relive those memorable days, this time at ATI College's Dinner and Dance. The venue for this is Starcity Convention Centre. This is their cold dish starter. Pretty decent but common nonetheless. Fish maw soup Crispy chicken in chinese Herbs Dry Butter Prawn Crispy deep fried beef strips Mixed Vege All in all the food was not too bad. The prawn was crispy and may be eaten whole, yes even skins but maybe without the tails. One interesting dish would be the crispy beef strips. It felt more like having crackers for snacks rather than a proper sit down dinner dish. The exact type of meat is indiscernible as it is deep fried to the point of dehydration. An interesting texture to the pallet nonetheless.

Hometown Star City Link Bridge Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, 88800 Location: Near Kirameki Cafe Rating: Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5   Hometown Cafe had just started operating not long ago. Serving some locals hawker food such as Curry Laksa, Prawn Noodle, Nasi Lemak and Ipoh Koay Teow Soup, this cafe however, has a comfy ambiance and settings. Beef Rendang with Rice RM6.90 Loaded with spices and coconut milk, the Beef Rendang tasted rich. The meat had absorbed the spicy condiments very well but tasted a little bit too salty to my liking. Rating: 2.8/5         Ipoh Koay Teow Soup RM6.50 The Koay Teow is smooth and silky and it goes well with the sweet-savoury flavour soup. Comes with few fresh prawns, fish ball and shredded chicken. Taste wise, it was not bad. Rating: 3/5       Total paid = RM16.70
