Topolinos Restaurant @ St. Kilda, Melbourne

Image
Show me a man who's worked 16 hours a day since 1972, and I'll show you Topolino's restaurant. I honestly can't pull a nine to five without spending 6 hours on facebook in the office, but hey, that's why my lazy ass doesn't have a fine Italian restaurant that is rated at least 4 stars by all online polls. This humble looking restaurant opens 4pm till late on Mon to Wed and 12pm till very very late on Thurs to Sun.

Little Caesar @ Perth, Australia

Image
When you step inside a restaurant that is the winner of the World Champion Pizza Maker, there is no question of a doubt, one would feel almost intimidated, consuming food that are meant for demigods, or at least fit for the greatest emperor Caesar. So we were a bit surprised to say the least at how humble and cosy this place is, which is good news for us mere mortals, and travelers at that.

Leave it to the Aussies to introduce a unique burger in an overly commercialised joint. Perhaps in an attempt to win customers who are more conscious about how their food affect their environment, this is very much in sync with the 'eat local' global movement, that has seem to hit the more 'cultured' Westerners.

Image
Tony Roma's...ah Ribs, Seafood and Steak. All else just fades away into the background in an almost psychedelic artwork manner. Where all senses and locomotion are sync to achieve just one: shamelessly enjoying a nice foot-long full slab of ribs.
