Kedai Kopi Yung Siong, Tuaran 22Aug10 Lunch

KEDAI KOPI YUNG SIONG Tuaran Town. It was Sunday. We all left KK early to Tuaran for our morning prayer at Tuaran church. Normally after our morning prayer, there would be assigned church member to prepare light breakfast every week. After the light breakfast, we all headed to the Sunday Tuaran tamu. The weather was rather windy and cloudy since morning. We were praying hard that it would be no raining while we were on the way to National Park. Yes, we were bringing our guests up to National Park for a one day trip. We were strolling around at the Tuaran tamu and they were having fun taking photos and experiencing the "hanging bridge" till it started to drizzling. We hurried and rushed back to the Tuaran town centre shops. Since we were in front of this shop which located opposite the roundabout and OCBC Bank, we decided to have some light meal before we made our way to National Park. Mee Rojak We love this very much. The satay peanut sauce was so creamy and full of ...

Restoran Juara @ Inanam

Restoran Juara Location: next to Kedai Kopi Laksa & Makanan $$ Ratings: Food: 3.5/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Visit reviewed: 21/01/10 and 05/10/10 Kit Chai Drink RM1.30 Restoran Juara is one of Jack's favourite place for Chicken Rice. No matter dining-in or take-away, we had never bother to try something else and will always stick to our favourite Chicken Rice. Tonight was an exceptional. We ordered something else instead of Chicken Rice. Soto Daging RM3.50 The Soto Daging was not bad. The soup was flavourful but a little bit too salty to my liking. Big portion was given. 3/5 Wat Tan Ho RM5.00 Never thought that we can find such a good Wat Tan Ho in a Malay's stall. The taste was good. Nice fragrant and the egg's gravy wasn't too starchy. Instead of seafood, Jack chose to have the Wat Tan Ho fried with chicken. 4/5

Restoran Sri Rezeki Corner @ Inanam

Image
Restoran Sri Rezeki Corner Location: Next to Restoran Kiong Kee, behind Walk-in and Shop $$ Ratings: Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Sup Daging Nasi RM4.50 Restoran Sri Rezeki Corner serves one of the best Soto in town. First taste of the soup, we fall in love with it. It tasted so flavourful with mild herbs taste. The beef was so tender and soft. It goes really well with rice. Meehoon Goreng Ayam RM4.00 The Fried Meehoon was good. I mean fragrantly good. Not too dry and the taste of the light soy sauce and dark soy sauce was just right. The cabbages they used to fry the noodle, bring a hint of sweetness to the noodle. For your information, we had blogged about Sri Rezeki @ Lintas previously. Their Rojak is good too. However, the prices may vary between branches.

Tenom Kopitiam @ Harbour City, Sembulan

Image
Tenom Kopitiam $$ Ratings: Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Visit reviewed: 21/06/10 Nasi Lemak + Ayam Goreng RM4.50 Another post for 'halal' food. After receiving some comments who suggested us to look for more 'halal' food or places that 'served-no-pork', Jack was trying hard to search for some good halal food. Hence, today we went to Tenom Kopitiam. The Nasi Lemak with fried chicken ordered by Jack, was quite good. However, the serving portion was quite small. Soto Ayam RM5.00 The broth of the Soto Ayam was not bad actually. With lime juice, chili sauce, and dark soy sauce added (the way the locals here eat), it tasted even more better. Not much ingredients given, only few pieces of chicken and some vegetables. The prices of the food here are slightly more expensive than the next door's restaurant. For Soto, it cost about RM5.00-RM6.00, for fried rice/noodles, it cost about RM6.00-RM7.00.
