In a nod to the Thai capital taking its rightful place on the international culinary stage with the launch of the first Bangkok edition of the Michelin Guide last year, a stellar line up of thirteen chefs from twelve Michelin-starred restaurants are set to take over one of the city’s most exclusive addresses.

The culinary revelry of Epicurean Market will return for the third consecutive year this August, extending the country’s birthday celebrations by diving deep into Singapore’s favourite pastime – eating well! The three-day food and wine extravaganza will be held on 14-16 August 2015 at Marina Bay Sands. Tickets are now on sale.The energetic marketplace of international flavours and brands will see the debut of another celebrity chef restaurant – Spago by Wolfgang Puck – in a sneak preview ahead of its official opening. The flagship of Wolfgang Puck’s global empire, Spago is Puck’s second establishment in Marina Bay Sands (after CUT) and the restaurant’s first venture in Asia.

The black truffle has a starring role in the food at Lafite, the French restaurant at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, from 23 February to 21 March 2015 . It has been declared the Black Truffle Month, and Lafite will showcase this gourmet treasure from Perigord, France, known as the black diamond of the kitchen. This highly prized edible mushroom exudes a unique and enticing aroma that has wowed diners all over the world.

Using of spices and herbs is a trend in modern pastry for enhancing aroma and taste. A perfect balance of spices and herbs is a challenge for pastry chefs to demonstrate their creativity and technique for ingredient treatment. For the third year “Fonterra Foodservices Pastry Challenge Macau” is back by demand. The event held on Monday, the 22nd of September at 10am at IFT Macau, provided an exciting platform for pastry Chefs and connoisseurs alike to showcase and exchange skills in a competitive environment. Fonterra Foodservices is committed to providing chefs with the opportunity to develop their skills through demanding competitions and challenging workshops.

It was officiated by YAM Tunku Laxamana Negeri Sembilan, Tunku Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar, who is also Royal Patron of the Festival. The event kicked off with a speech by the Organising Chairman Dato’ Steve Day , before the screening of the MIGF television commercial and finally a runway entrance by the chefs of the Festival, in line with the theme “Red Hot Chefs!”

Epicurean Market 2014 is all set to indulge the palates of food aficionados over a multi-sensory gourmet celebration at Marina Bay Sands. From 12-14 September, guests can experience award-winning bites from celebrity chef restaurants; dive deep into 35 master classes; interact with over 65 leading brands; bring home exclusively-bottled sauces and spice rubs; lounge at the central bar; dance to deejay-spun music; pick up produce at the Fresh Food Market and discover the finest wines from over 20 wine merchants.

Since the first event held back in 2001, the world renowned Malaysia International Gourmet Festival, MIGF, has established itself as the pinnacle of gastronomic excellence in the region. Into its 14th successive year, the Festival never fails to excite and surprise with both local and international diners eagerly looking forward to see what the Festival has in store. This year, MIGF will take place from 1st to 31st October 2014 with the theme RED HOT CHEFS!
