The holy month of Ramadan is upon us again and during this time, Ramadan Bazaars are set up in various locations offering buka puasa (breaking of fast) fare. About an hour drive from KK, the Ramadan Bazaar in Tuaran is well worth a visit for tourists and a great opportunity to sample traditional and modern Mulsim fare during the month of Ramadan.

Bella day out and photography session with staffs. Tamparuli Fried Noodle is another well known noodle in Sabah, named after the town it was originated. Tamparuli is a small town located next to Tuaran, you'll be passing by if you're on the way to Ranau and Mt. Kinabalu. Restoran Wun Chiap is a family-run restaurant, located next to Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN). Many customers are willing to travel as far as Kota Kinabalu just to enjoy a plate of this original Tamparuli Noodle. The noodle here is hand made, then fried and top with BBQ pork (Char Siew), Egg Pork Roll, eggs and veggies. After dining in, most people will buy take-away (tapau) for family and friends. We stop at this shop after visiting the poultry farm for photography session.

Normally after our morning prayer, there would be assigned church member to prepare light breakfast every week. After the light breakfast, we all headed to the Sunday Tuaran tamu. We were strolling around at the Tuaran tamu and they were having fun taking photos and experiencing the "hanging bridge" till it started to drizzling. We hurried and rushed back to the Tuaran town centre shops. Since we were in front of this shop which located opposite the roundabout and OCBC Bank, we decided to have some light meal before we made our way to National Park. Mee Rojak We love this very much. The satay peanut sauce was so creamy and full of ...

It took about 45 minutes to reach Tuaran from KK. Most of the restaurant in Tuaran serve Tuaran Mee and it is hard for the non-locals to really guess which is the best Tuaran Mee in town. Paul is the expert of where to find good food in Tuaran, so, we just tagged along. Pork Roll and Pork Ball Soup The soup was light but tasted good. The pork roll tasted very fresh while the pork ball was springy. Tuaran Mee Soup The Tuaran Mee was really springy and tasted very special. The soup was sweet and savoury which really goes well with the noodle. Fried Tuaran Mee The Char Siu tasted really flavourful, good marination. The Fried Tuaran Mee was not too dry nor too wet or soggy. It was just right. Tasted very good and it's really different from what we can get in KK town. Fried Sayur M...
