Everyday Food I Love returns to the Bijan Bar and Restaurant after a long hiatus! Why? They have a new chef in the house. Bijan's Chef Shawal and his talented culinary team have worked hard to prepare for this year's Ramadhan season in order to exceed previous expectations. Their theme last year was "Selera Ibunda," which featured good old-fashioned homestyle cooking. This year, their theme is "Selera Warisan Negeri", which will features some great foods I have never tried from far off states. The buffet is organised around 4 rotating menus from 4 regions in Peninsular Malaysia - North, South, East and Central featuring some rare and unique iconic dishes.

Soul Out Restaurant at Grand Borneo Hotel is offering a tantalising Buffet this Ramadan. Located within 1Borneo Hypermall, Soul Out takes dining and hospitality to another level where you can buy all your Raya goodies and clothes under one roof. Limited vouchers are priced at RM55 per person, while walk in diners only pay RM65, the Ramadhan Buffet will be available from 6th June through to 3rd July 2016. A special package of room and Ramadhan buffet are also available. Also the hotel and all food and beverage outlet (including Soul Out Restaurant) is 100% Halal certified, meaning no alcohol is served in all the premise.

We are here this evening at Promenade Hotel’s Promenade Café, to try out their star specialty: Seafood Buffet. And you can have it many ways too, be it grilled, fried, boiled and baked. They also serve up a nice variety of menu, from fresh salads, local favorites, their signature whole roasted lamb, international cuisine and myriad of cakes and desserts. At a reasonable price of RM95 Nett for weekends and RM85 Nett of weeknights, its practically a steal by these days’ standards.

The layout of the restaurant is mainly white with a simple green signboard stated 'Nasi Kukus', specialises in one dish and one dish alone: nasi kukus. The satisfyingly warm and fluffy steamed rice is paired with succulent ayam goreng berempah, beef or mutton.

But the food is anything but less. It is bountiful, delicious, and oh so pleasant to the eye, not only because food is decorated artistically, but prepared fresh in full transparent view, so every single corner is now an action counter, with food made to order, which not only keeps them fresh and warm, but also reduce wastage.
