FOODPANDA.MY PROVIDES FREE DELIVERY FOR IPOH & MALACCA

Image
The largest food delivery service provider in Malaysia just expanded their “paw print” to Ipoh and Malacca. Previously the web portal only offered restaurants with their own delivery service to those cities – they have since started their own delivery service bringing with them their major restaurant chains. With a soft launch last Friday, foodpanda has already received some very encouraging feedback from residents of Ipoh and Malacca. “We never thought they would be bringing food delivery to our quiet city of Ipoh" says Shawn Lim, a local Ipoh resident and new foodpanda customer. “I am pleasantly surprised and find this service very convenient - plus delivery is free!”

After the nice lunch at Donald and Lily's Corner and Sun May Hiong Satay House , Corrine and Chee Wai suggested we go for a durian cendol and Gula Melaka Chendol inside the San Shu Gong building named Lao Qian Ice Cafe. San Shu Gong is the latest landmark situated at Jonker’s Street, Melaka. If you are durian lover then you must not miss this!

Nadeje Cake Shop @ Melaka

Image
Japan’s thousand layer cake or Mille Crepe sold in Melaka Raya and Dataran Pahlawan at Nadeje Cake Shop. "Nadeje" which means hope, opened since July 2005. Nadeje Cafe has a very comfortable environment, is a good place for catching up with pals and indulge in the best dessert in town. No matter what flavor of cake you choose, it's price at RM8.50 per piece and for every RM100 spend you'll get one piece of cake free.

Kwang Ah Coffee Shop @ Melaka

We wanted to taste what's the local here eating, so we called our Melaka origin friend's for recommendation. She directed us to this coffee shop for a good homey cooked food. This shop was crowded at dinner time, with local diners, the server told us that we have to wait 30 minutes for our order, we are ok with it cause I think it's worth the wait. They serve good fried Hokkien noodle, Watan Hor, Sweet and sour pork and etc.

Sun May Hiong Satay House @ Melaka

Image
Pork Satays, our second stop after Donald and Lily's Corner Nyonya food. Sun May Hiong Satay House was highly recommended by many foodies, but some said it was overrated. Well, there's no such food that fit everyone tastebud, acquire taste! The dipping sauce for pork satay is pineapple-based satay sauce, it goes well with it and again for me, it's good not sure about you! Nicely blended pineapple sauce with a distinctive sweet and spicy taste. You'll get the usual ketupat and sliced cucumber as side dish. Price at RM0.60 per stick and they will keep refilling for you and only charge by the amount you ate.

Donald & Lily's Corner @ Melaka

The original Nyonya laksa is enriched with various spices and cooked without curry powder, there are many places in Melaka serving Nyonya laksa, my top pick is Donald and Lily’s. It's in an old house built before World War II, interesting heritage though! A unique dining ambience with an authentic homey character. If you come during weekend lunch hours, please be prepare to wait, there will be a long queue! It has been featured and reviewed by many medias, including 8TV Ho Chak programme.

Restoran Nasi Ayam Hoe Kee @ Jonker Street, Melaka

Recently, we make a trip down to Melaka for photo shooting, as me being Jack and Monica pre-wedding photographer...with a professional coach. At the same time we never stop hunting for some good food in Melaka, as a Malaysian, food will never stray far from our sight. Restoran Hoe Kee was one of our choice, it is located right at the tip of Jonker Street and is well-known to locals and tourists, famous for their ball-shaped Hainanese chicken rice, smooth Poached Chicken and Assam Fish. We didn't order the fish as our stomach have quite a limited space to fit in.

Famosa CHicken Rice Restaurant @ Melaka

Image
Famosa Chicken Rice Ball No. 28-30, Jalan Hang Kasturi, Off Jonker Street, 75200 Melaka Tel: 06-286 0120 Website: http://www.chickenriceball.com/ Ratings: Food: 3.5/5 Services: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 What a joy to dine in this history looking restaurant, I guess atmosphere of a place do take a lot of point. I choose this one rather than the famous chicken rice ball restaurant around the corner cause I prefer a much cleaner and comfortable environment. Walk down the road, on the same row, there's another branch of this restaurant. They are 5 branches in Melaka. Total paid for lunch, RM28.80 Highly Recommended by Hong Kong Food Critic "Choy Lan" Roasted and steamed meat Clean environment The Menu I felt like I'm in the legend time Sour Cabbage, RM7.00 Not bad, one of my favourite dish, I like the way mum cooked better Roast Chicken with Rice Ball, RM4.60 Food in Melaka is so much cheaper if compare with KK food. Rice ball have a nice texture, not to sticky, tasted eve...
