Restoran Nasi Ayam Hoe Kee @ Jonker Street, Melaka

Recently, we make a trip down to Melaka for photo shooting, as me being Jack and Monica pre-wedding photographer...with a professional coach. At the same time we never stop hunting for some good food in Melaka, as a Malaysian, food will never stray far from our sight. Restoran Hoe Kee was one of our choice, it is located right at the tip of Jonker Street and is well-known to locals and tourists, famous for their ball-shaped Hainanese chicken rice, smooth Poached Chicken and Assam Fish. We didn't order the fish as our stomach have quite a limited space to fit in.
We took some pre-wedding photos around the entrance of the restaurant before we settle for a light lunch here, the lady owners were really nice and friendly...they allowed us to take photos as we like. The restaurant interior is beautiful, showing traces of heritage from the old days with wooden chairs, marble tables, large plaques with chinese characters and floating lanterns above our heads. We had a pleasant meal, no doubt this restaurant being one of Melaka's most famous food establishments

Chicken with rice ball (serving for 2)

The chicken and rice balls were smooth, you can smell and taste the fragrant from the infusion of chicken stock, garlic. pandan leave and ginger in the rice. Chicken Riceball price RM0.30 each. We paid a total bill of RM20.00 for food and drinks.
