It was few days before our Taiwan trip. We had a dinner appointment with Paul and Shirley. Going back to Taman Fortuna for the steamed fish again. We ordered 9 dishes, serving 5 persons and it cost RM104 including drinks. Paul and Shirley settled the bill. Thanks for the nice dinner!!
I would have more fun, too. I can think of many things that I'd spend less time doing, such as thinking negative thoughts, and many things that I'd spend more time on, such as hiking and spending time with friends. If I had my life to do over, I wouldn't spend as much money as I've spent on some things, and I'd spend it on other things.
But wait, who says I don't have my life to live over? Personally, I see my life as a long series of chapters, and many of those chapters are long gone. There are, however, chapters in the future, and how will I live those? What will I do with the days left to me? Will that be any different than what I've done with the days past?
I hope so. I hope that the first chapters in my life have been spent learning lessons that I'll be able to put into practice in the final chapters of my life. Today definitely is the first day of the rest of my life, so I have many things that I can do with my life between now and the last day. I don't have to commit myself to a ton of responsibilities, and I don't have to follow the "rules" in everything I do. Maybe I can't find a merry-go-round to ride, but I can sit on a nice park bench and enjoy the scenery.
We choose how to live each day, and we choose the type of person we want to be. Unfortunately, we often choose the type of person that we think others want to see rather than the person we truly are, and that prevents us from going barefoot early in the spring or spending time picking daisies when we could be "being productive." The rest of my life stretches out before me, which person will I be during that lifetime?

Drinks: 4 x Kitchai Ping, 1 Teh See and 1 water
Claypot Beancurd
Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce
The Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce was well-cooked and it tasted good. Normally, 'Lai Mang' (type of fish) will have strong pungent smell but this steamed fish tasted very fresh and nice. The black bean sauce goes well with rice.
Fried Mee Hoon with Fish Sauce and Tuaran Mee (Small-forget to snap photo)
Stir-Fried Pork Stomach with Garlic
The Stir-Fried Pork Stomach with Garlic tasted just okay. I missed the Stif-fry Pork Small Intestines I had in Drunk Cat, KL.
Steamed Fish with Soy Sauce
Needless to say, this is good. We are back so soon, just for this. The Soy Sauce tasted really good and the fish was fresh and sweet.
Stir-Fried Yau Mak with Fermented Beancurd
2 x Stir-fried Sayur Manis with egg
Today Meditation:
If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot
earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daisies.
