Services: 1/5 Worst Services Ever!!! With Paparich Opening Soon right next door (if they provide a better services), I don't think OldTown in Citymall can survived for long, if they don't focus on improving their Services!!!

First of all, I'm not discriminating OLDTOWN's cafe and I do enjoy the food there as well. However, I just couldn't tolerate with the bad service I had encountered at OLDTOWN's Citymall previously. Having more than enough staffs that they needed and yet, service was slow and food were served cold. Many of us had been complaining a lot but no action had ever been taken since the day they start operating. This had really made me backing-off from eating at OLDTOWN again.
Early this morning, Angeline and I went to OLDTOWN's Citymall to have a light breakfast. Since, we had blogged about Karamunsing and 1Borneo branches, it wouldn't be fair if we missed out the very first branch.
Although the shop was not very crowded, some of the tables were left unclean and unclear. It was a horror turned gory as we waited for 5 minutes, waiving at the staff to come and take our orders (guessed we had been invisible). Angeline started to complained in front of me and one of the staff overheard it. Guess what? Our food arrived first before the other patrons who had been there much more earlier than us. Anyway, food were served hot without any cutlery.

Since my toast was served hot today, I'll have no complaint about the food. The Strawberry jam was good and the thick toast had both crispy and soft texture.

The Spring Rolls was crispy and the fillings was not bad as well. Good finger food.
Total paid for breakfast, RM22.90
Tables were left uncleaned and uncleared for more than 10 minutes. We noticed a handful of customers got up and left after waiting for a reasonable time and some customers went to the counter to made their orders.
Angeline lost her patience and went straight to the counter to pay the bill (other customers did the same too) but they lost our bill! It took them quite some times to search for the bill and finally, they got back to our table and checked on our orders.
As we all knew, most of the franchise's cafe serves ready-made food. Apart from the drinks, they just need to warm-up the food and serves it to the customers. Somehow, we noticed that it take a very long time for them to prepare the food and despite when the food was ready-to-serve, it was left unattended at the counter table until it turned cold again.
Forget about their extremely bad service, they do serve up a list of good food but considering about the prices that we are paying, I could have get a better food at the normal Kopitiam, even with better service.

(1) We took away some drinks and they counted 2 more extra drinks (not belonged to us) into our bill. When we asked for refund, that stupiak cashier said no refund & insisted us to take that 2 extra drinks away. But how the heck we could finish the drinks when everyone already have their own one. We insisted and they refunded the drink money but the 5% GOV TAX. Haiizzz
(2) Half way eating my instant noodle "chu qian yi ding" with ham n egg, I founded some green colour meshes (the green colour piece mesh in the dish washing sponge) in my noodle, was actually already in my mouth. Cepat-cepat the captain took the noodle away and replaced one. Should ve taken photo of that thingy.
(3) We ordered 2 plates of half boiled egg. One came very quick but slight cold and the eggs were near to RAW. Another one came after half an hour which involved lots of reminding from us, were almost COOKED. Really no quality control.
(4)Once we ordered nasi lemak, everything were served hot but the fried chicken was cold and soft.
So, we have already black-listed Old Town Citymall and rather go Old Station Citymall. Better food, and better service. :)
