On a Sunday morning, 2 weeks before Chinese New Year arrive, everywhere were particularly crowded with people. Out of a sudden, I was craving for a Western style breakfast in a quiet place. Since I had to get something from 1Borneo, Dome Cafe has comes to my mind. I might be a kinda spoil brat to have spend a hefty price for a breakfast at Dome Cafe. However, spoiling myself once in a while doesn't seems to cause any harm, right?
Back in KL, Dome Cafe is very popular with it Gourmet Chicken and Mushroom Pie and The Lot Burger. However, it is also well-known as one of the expensive food chains besides Starbucks. Their Ice Blended are also something not to miss too.
Ginger Tea RM10.50
As I was still coughing, I have to forgo the cold drinks. I ordered the Ginger Tea which is good for digestion system and to ward off cold and flu. It comes with two pieces of Biscotti and Honey. The taste was soothing and it created a warmness in my stomach.
Egg Hollandaise RM15.50
I ordered the Hot Breakfast Specials; Egg Hollandaise. Fresh spinach leaves, chicken ham with two poached eggs with creamy hollandaise sauce on toasted turkish bread. It was kinda pricey for a breakfast and I wouldn't shout out loud that it was superb but it was definitely a good breakfast. The Hollandaise sauce was creamy and smooth. The flavour was rich and buttery, with a mild tang added by lemon juice and seasoning.
Sometimes, it is not just the food that could fill us with satisfaction but also the ambiance of the restaurant. To tell you the truth, the cafe's setting is quite comfortable. You can even have your own quiet space while reading the magazines that available at the side rack of the table.
Total cost = RM28.60
Zen Story 2:
Hogen, a Chinese Zen teacher, lived alone in a small temple
in the country. One day four traveling monks appeared and
asked if they might make a fire in his yard to warm themselves.

While they were building the fire, Hogen heard them arguing
about subjectivity and objectivity. He joined them and said:
"There is a big stone. Do you consider it to be inside or outside your mind?"

One of the monks replied: "From the Buddhist viewpoint everything
is an objectification of mind, so I would say that the stone is inside my mind."

"Your head must feel very heavy," observed Hogen,
"if you are carrying around a stone like that in your mind."
