During my childhood, mom used to bring us to Restaurant Drunk Cat almost every weekend. We love the steamed fish and the stir-fried pork small intestine. But it was long time ago. Since we had moved out from Cheras area, we hardly went back to the same restaurant again. As we were searching for place to eat at Kuchai Lama, we were surprised to saw Restaurant Drunk Cat. Mom and sis immediately decided to have our dinner there. The restaurant was crowded when we reached but the service was fast and good.
Romaine Lettuce stir-fried with fermented beancurd, RM8
The Romaine Lettuce stir-fried with fermented bean sauce tasted good. The vegetables was not over-cooked and still keep the crispiness. It had a mild aroma of Chinese wine and was topped with fried small anchovies.
Stir-Fried Pork Small Intestine (Shang Qiung), RM13
One of our favourite dish. Mom love it! It had the exotic flavour and the pork intestine was springy. Good to go with rice.
Sweet and Sour Pork Rib King, RM14
All of us agreed that the Sweet and Sour Pork Rib King was the best dish for today. It was fragrantly good with strong pineapple flavour. The meat was well marinated and tasted good. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Steamed Tilapia with Bean Paste Sauce, RM20
The Steamed Tilapia with Bean Paste Sauce was cheap. It was fresh and cooked just right. The sauce was fragrantly good with spices flavour. However, it was a little bit too sweet to my liking. Since their specialty is the Steamed Fish with Ginger, I will have no complain about this fish.
Before we go to Restaurant Drunk Cat, we went to OUG night market to buy something and have a few sticks of Luk Luk. Nowadays, the Luk Luk in KL not only including boil and fry but also BBQ. The prices are cheaper than KK too.
Today Meditation:
Ultimately, we have just one moral duty, to reclaim large areas
of peace in ourselves, more and more peace, and to reflect it
towards others. And the more peace there is in us, the more
peace there will be in our troubled world.
