It is just a day before the Reunion Dinner. Every year, without any exceptional, mom and sis will not miss the chance to get some Grilled Meat(daging salai) from Petaling Street. It is well-known that the best Grilled Meat comes from Petaling Street's branch.

Besides Grilled Meat, the hawker food at Petaling Street are also something not to be miss. We went to China Town Seng Kee for dinner before we started our window shopping. It is famous with the Claypot Loh Shu Fun(Claypot Noodle) and Siew Yoke Mee (Roasted Pork Noodle).
The food were served few minutes after we made our order. It was really fast. The Claypot Loh Shu Fun was really nice. The minced pork was fragrantly good. The gravy goes well with the noodles. Bravo!!
The Kung Pao Mantis Prawn is also one of their specialty. It was good. The Mantis Prawn was fried till crispy and coated with the Kung Pao gravy. It had a really strong flavour of spices that give you the 'oomph' when eating the prawn.
As we were worried that the food will not be enough to feed our big appetite, we ordered few pieces of Yong Tau Fu. It was just average. Among all the Yong Tau Fu, the stuffed bean curd was the best. The bean curd was smooth and full of bean taste.
The Stir-fried Romaine Lettuce with fermented bean curd sauce was just average. Nothing to shout home about.
The Siew Yoke Mee( Roasted Pork Noodles) was delicious. We couldn't have enough of it. The noodle was springy, the Roasted Pork is crispy and the fried garlic was fragrantly good with a hint of sweetness. The taste was well-balanced. Love it!!
The total cost for our dinner including 2 Ice Waters, 1 Chinese Tea and 1 Herbal Tea = RM56
While we were going for window shopping, we saw a restaurant which had been promoted by one of the  famous Hong Kong's food critic, Tou Tou. I guessed it must be good but too bad that we were already full.
As we walked at Petaling Street, Angeline took the chance to take some photos of other famous eateries place. One of it included the famous Hokkien Mee at Kim Lian Kee.
To our surprise, we saw Restaurant Kim Lian Kee had occupied almost the whole building just right opposite their old stall.
Famous for their Hokkien Mee, with over 80 years of legacy, started by Fujian native Ong Kim Lian. Today, his nephew Lee Ching Jing oversees the eatery at Petaling Street, which eventually will be handed to his son, Lee Xian Peng to continue the tradition of frying the Hokkien noodles over charcoal fire.
Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Nooodles (click for the link) also available at Lot 10 Hutong
Famous Air Mata Kucing located next to Hong Leong Bank
Another famous hawker food is the Portugal Grilled Fish. The stall is located just at the walk-way of Hong Leong Bank. It was blocked by other stalls and you can hardly see it. Their Portugal Grilled Fish and Seafood are very good.
Kim Soya Bean is famous with their Tau Foo Fah and Soya Bean drink. Even Dato  Dr. Mahathir like their Soya Bean Drink (it was shown at one of the newspaper article). We bought 3 Soya Bean Drink which cost RM3.60.
Finally, before we leave Petaling Street, we went to Wo Lai Yeh to get some Grilled Meat. It was a long queue as everyone were doing their last minutes preparation. However, service was fast.

Real education should educate us out of self
into something far finer,
into a selflessness which links us with all humanity.
