The Sabah Museum is the most prestigious museum in Sabah and is the State's showcase of its rich cultural heritage and exhibits Sabah's history, culture, social and natural history.

During this school holiday, Jack's sister, Jacqueline, did some home-study about animal's skeleton. Out of her curiosity, she requested to go to the museum for an educational trip

For those who are interested in Miniature Drawing, there is a Miniature Drawing's stall located near the main entrance of the museum.

For your information, camera is prohibited inside the museum. You'll need to deposit your camera at the counter before entering the museum.

A little confession here, I smuggled my camera into the museum and snapped a few photos.

Bryde's Whale Skeleton

It wasn't our day, the museum were going through some upgrading works and the whale skeleton was the only skeleton available for viewing.

Archaeology and History Gallery

At the Archaeology and History Gallery, there are some displays of the ancient weapons such as Keris, sword and Sumpit

The main building consisted the Islamic Civilization Gallery, the Archaeology and History Gallery, Natural History Gallery, Art Gallery, Ceramic and Brassware Gallery and Traditional Costumes.

Ceramic and Brassware Gallery

The annex building featured the Science and Education Centre which houses the Geology Gallery, the exhibition on petroleum industry, the exhibition on copper mining in Sabah and a current exhibition on broadcasting technology. There are some display of the old camera, projectors and broadcasting equipments.
