Family Gathering @ Kelawat

Festive season is all about eating. In other word, it is synonymous with tons of mouth-watering food and even booze. Since Christmas Eve dinner, we had been indulging in food for the past few days.

During the Boxing Day, Jack and his family were invited to Kampung Kelawat for a family gathering dinner. Tagging along with them, I spend my day experiencing the Christmas celebration of the local culture.
Jack's aunt baked some homemade butter cookies, peanut cookies and fruit cakes for the guests.
Being the earliest guests, we have the opportunity to wandered around the house, picked some fresh fruits to eat and played with the dogs.
And of course, lending a helping hand in the food preparation process...
Before the guests arrives, we started the fire and grilled some Homemade Satays and Chicken Wings.
The delicious homemade dishes cooked by Jack's aunt included Sweet and Sour Fish, Stir-fried Beef, Broccoli and Cauliflower in Cream Sauce, Brinjal with Spices, Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables, Japanese Beancurd with Vegetables and Fish Soup. She is really a good cook.

Even the dog get some food...
A moment that most of the kids had been waiting for, was the cake cutting session. It was a homemade Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cake. Incredibly rich in peanut butter and chocolate. Irresistible taste!!
