We were suppose to go for Bak Kut Teh at Beverly but out of a sudden, we felt like trying out this SK 2 Kedai Kopi Sing Kong which located at the corner shop next to Kak Nong. The boss is very friendly and good in recommending their specialty dishes. From what we saw, he had actually attracted quite a few regular patrons to his shop.

Called us boring but we really like to eat fish, especially steamed fish. We ordered a Steamed Tilapia with Bean Paste sauce, a hot and sour soup, a pork ribs(recommended by the boss) and a fried vegetables. We wanted to order more but was stopped by the boss. He was worried that we couldn't finish the dishes and kindly suggested us to add-in order only after the dishes has arrive. True enough, the dishes were more than enough for three of us as the fish portion was quite big.

Steamed Tilapia Fish with Bean Paste Sauce, RM30
The Steamed Tilapia with Bean Paste Sauce was well-cooked. The fish is fresh and the meat was smooth. I can eat it without the sauce. The sauce was quite good as well and it did not outshine the freshness of the fish. We polished off the whole dish.

Stir-Fried Choy Sum, RM7.00

Pork Ribs "Ken Chai Pai Kuak" (Restaurant Specialty), RM10
The Pork Ribs was nice. Sweet and savoury. It was marinated with Nam Yu( fermented beancurd) as I can tasted the Nam Yu flavour(Correct me if I'm wrong).

Hot and Sour Soup, RM7 (3 person serving)
The Hot and Sour Soup was not a disappointment too. Although they put ham choy (preserved vegetables), the soup wasn't too salty. Moderate taste. Not too salty, not too spicy and not too sour. Instead of using white vinegar, I can tasted that they used black vinegar(again, correct me if I'm wrong) as the black vinegar taste is better and it bring out more aroma to the soup.

Dinner, Total bill: RM60.70 (included 3 rice and drinks)
