TC Restoran could be a hidden gem in the heart of Kota Kinabalu. Serving only a limited types of local dishes, this humble looking shop was not one to belittled. With the noticeable crowds patronising the restaurant, it successfully caught our attention.

Sweet and Sour Fish RM10
Fried Fish is one of their signature dish and it comes with few choices of sauce to go with. I chose the Sweet and Sour sauce, a more appetizing option. Afraid that it could be expensive, I questioned the staff before making my order. Surprisingly, the minimum price of the fish only cost RM10.00.
The fish was fried till real crispy and even the fins was crunchy. Topped with sweet and sourish sauce and some condiments, it was appetizingly good. We couldn't have enough of it.
Stir-fry Sabah Veggies with Egg
A recommended dish by the friendly staff. The Stir-fry Sabah Veggies with Egg is a must-have to tourists and it was our favourite dish. Tasted good.
Ham Choy Tofu Soup
The Ham Choy Tofu Soup can be loosely translated as Preserved Vegetables with Bean Curd Soup. It was cooked with some tomatoes, bean curd, preserved vegetables and chicken meat. Chinese believed that these savoury soup is a good cure for heatiness in the body.
RM21.00 (Including Rice and 2X Plain Water)
It was really cheap. Both Jack and I had a satisfying meal here and we swear that we'll be back again anytime soon, probably with Angeline along.
