Restoran Wun Chiap @ Tamparuli . Gardenia Factory . Wishbone Poultry Farm

Bella day out and photography session with staffs.
Tamparuli Fried Noodle is another well known noodle in Sabah, named after the town it was originated. Tamparuli is a small town located next to Tuaran, you'll be passing by if you're on the way to Ranau and Mt. Kinabalu. Restoran Wun Chiap is a family-run restaurant, located next to Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN). Many customers are willing to travel as far as Kota Kinabalu just to enjoy a plate of this original Tamparuli Noodle. The noodle here is hand made, then fried and top with BBQ pork (Char Siew), Egg Pork Roll, eggs and veggies. After dining in, most people will buy take-away (tapau) for family and friends. We stop at this shop after visiting the poultry farm for photography session.

Tamparuli is a small town and a sub-district of Tuaran on the west coast of Sabah, Malaysia. It is populated mainly by native Dusuns, while a sizeable Chinese community runs most of the shops in the town proper. As with many other small towns in Sabah and indeed Malaysia as a whole, the town itself consists of both newer concrete shoplots as well as old wooden ones, which are particularly prone to destruction by fire as evidenced in the destruction of one of the wooden shoplots in recent years. The most famous landmark in Tamparuli is a long hanging bridge, which is immortalised in the song Jambatan Tamparuli, a popular Kadazandusun song. Another bridge, built for motor traffic, spans the river far below the hanging bridge and is frequently flooded during heavy rain. Tamparuli is located just off the Kota Kinabalu - Sandakan road, making it a popular stop for a snack or meal for travellers taking this route from the direction of Kota Kinabalu. The town is also a convenient stop en route to the town of Kiulu, a popular whitewater rafting destination for domestic and foreign tourists alike.

Interesting that they let you "backstage" in both the bread factory and the chicken farm. I imagine that companies in the many countries would be very suspicious and hostile to photographers. I guess this just proves that the places you visited have nothing to hide. The chickens look pretty happy to me with plenty of light and space. Happy chickens make good chicken rice! No chicken rice photos? I loved eating chicken rice when I was in Sabah. So simple and satisfying.
