Tenom Kopitiam $$ Ratings: Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Visit reviewed: 21/06/10 Nasi Lemak + Ayam Goreng RM4.50 Another post for 'halal' food. After receiving some comments who suggested us to look for more 'halal' food or places that 'served-no-pork', Jack was trying hard to search for some good halal food. Hence, today we went to Tenom Kopitiam. The Nasi Lemak with fried chicken ordered by Jack, was quite good. However, the serving portion was quite small. Soto Ayam RM5.00 The broth of the Soto Ayam was not bad actually. With lime juice, chili sauce, and dark soy sauce added (the way the locals here eat), it tasted even more better. Not much ingredients given, only few pieces of chicken and some vegetables. The prices of the food here are slightly more expensive than the next door's restaurant. For Soto, it cost about RM5.00-RM6.00, for fried rice/noodles, it cost about RM6.00-RM7.00.

Orange Juice, Ice Lemon Tea, Blue Hawaian Caesar Salad Cantonese Noodle with Broth 6" Pepperoni Pizza Pasta Clams Fish Tempura Fish Tempura Somen Cumberland Sausage Cantonese Seafood Fried Rice Fish Porridge Overall, the food at Shook was not bad. Although they charged RM3.60 for each dish, they still managed to keep up the good quality of the food. Next, we tried Luk Yu Tea House. One of the famous place for Dim Sum. Normal days, the Dim Sum here are really good. Going to find out about the food tastes during the promotion. Due to the promotion, the restaurant was really packed. Hardly find an empty seat. Sometimes I would just buy cakes from shops, but somehow if I have the time to bake, I will still bake from time to time. With my all-time fan (my uncle) around, it's a motivation to me to bake though. haha... he just loves cake more than me... Ingredients : - 195gm cake flour 140gm plain flour 150gm castor sugar - I use 100gm 100gm light brown sugar 1 tbsp baking powder 225gm salted butter, cut into 1-inch cubes 4 large eggs 1 cup whole milk 1 tbsp vanilla essence Optional: Half tin of Blueberry filing It's actually a vanilla cupcake recipe which yields 24 cupcakes (need to bake in 2 batches. But I had to go to get a new hard disk very soon so I bake it in one-go in 2 small tins. 1. Preheat oven to 180C. 2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugars, baking powder on low speed until well mix with the k-beater. Add cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumb...

Mum likes to go back to the same place for food all the time, where she thinks it serve good food, to be safe. Total paid for dinner, RM30.00 (Noodle-Kong Fu Yin Yeung, Noodle-Maan Yee Mee, 1 x 100Plus, 1 x Herbal Tea and 2x Chinese Tea) Cantonese Fried Kuey Teow/Mee Hoon I guess this was everyone favourite, I like noodle dish to be wet, but according to my brother the stall in Setapak serve a better Cantonese Style noodle. Stir-Fried Yau Mak with garlic I find it too salty and oily Braised Yee Mee (Maan Yee Mien) I can see almost every table order this dish, well it tasted not bad at all. But because of the waiting...
