KYT Offers 2016 Overall Champion - A Golden Ticket to World Championship. Satheswaran Mayachandran, chief executive officer of Asia Sports Group (ASG) confirms a sponsorship deal with KYT, one of the world’s largest helmet production manufacturing company, in conjunction with the upcoming FIM Asia Supermoto Championship 2016. Amongst the sponsorship deal, the Indonesian-based helmet producer will offer a lucrative prize for the overall race champion – a full-expense wildcard entry to contend in a world championship race.

“With the surging supermoto market in Asia, KYT plays a pivotal role in elevating the race’s standard in the eyes of our fans and enthusiasts. We are pleased that a major brand as such has entrusted our race as the epitome for motorsport marketing to further enhance sales, marketing and brand positioning in the Asia market,” said Satheswaran.
KYT, an Indonesian-based company that produces helmet ranges from entry-level models all the way to high-end professional racing models, holds a long and established history amongst the motorcycle industry. With a state-of-the-art Research, Development and Design Facility in Italy, the company has successfully produced quality helmets for beginners, regulars and professional riders including MotoGP World Championship’s Andrea Iannone and Aleix Espargaro, Moto2 World Championship’s Xavier Simeon and Simone Corsi, World Superbike Championship’s (WSBK) Luca Marconi, and FIM Motocross World Championship’s (MXGP) World Championship Romain Febvre, Steven Lenoir, Priit Ratsep and Damon Graulus.

In addition to the sponsorship deal, the company has also confirmed an establishment of a supermoto team comprises of two top regional riders to compete for the 2016 championship title.

Through this collaboration, we are committed to support, nurture and produce promising supermoto talents from across the region. FIM Asia Supermoto Championship will be a stepping stone for them to secure a brighter future in the motorsport industry,” Kawai added.
FIM Asia Supermoto Championships 2016 is a regional supermoto championship organised by Asia Supersports Group, a consortium of three companies namely Bikenation Motorsports Sdn Bhd, CW Media Sdn Bhd and E-Plus Entertainment Productions (M) Sdn Bhd, and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Malaysia Major Events, Malaysia Truly Asia, Destination NSW, Tourism Hunter, Newcastle City Council, FIM Asia, Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) and KYT.
