Dorsett Hospitality International presents ‘Chengdu Can Do’ Food Festival as part of tourism and cultural promotion

It is getting hotter and spicier at Dorsett Hospitality International (HKEx Stock Code 2266) when the hospitality group brings in master chefs from Chengdu, China to Kuala Lumpur for a food festival, “Chengdu Can Do”. Running from now until 16 November 2014, the three-member master chefs from Dorsett Grand Chengdu will be in Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur to showcase the best of Sichuan cuisines to foodies or gastronomes who really love hot and spicy meals, either at lunch time or for dinner.

Equipped with years of cooking experience, these masters chefs have selected the freshest herbs and ingredients for the preparations of cuisines ranging from scrumptious desserts like asparagus lettuce in sesame paste, beef shank with chillies, marinated black fungus with chillies to main courses of assorted mushroom in superior soup, steamed fish with chopped chillies, sauteed chicken gristle with dry tea leaves and braised abalone with mapo tofu; in complementing the meals, desserts like boiled dumpling with chilli sauce and fruits platter will be good as well.
The master chefs who will be in town are Master Chef Zhou Xiang Rong, who specialises in Chinese fine art cooking techniques, Master Chef Bill Wang who has years of experience in noodle preparation and Master Chef Harry Chen who could whip out tasty Chinese cold dishes and barbeque cuisines.
According to Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng, the Vice Chairman of Dorsett Hospitality International, the group is organising this event in a move to further propagate tourism and cultural richness between Malaysia and China.
