Food City @ Kolombong

The bustling Food City, a food court located just next to Sazarice, is a great place for cheap and tasty hawker food. Getting there should not be a problem for locals, but outstation readers can refer to the address provided.

Food City
Jalan Kilang , Kolombong.
(Lorong Kilang E),
88450 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Penang Koay Teow Soup RM6.00
One of my favourite treat at Food City is the Penang Koay Teow Soup. It is a light but delicious dish. The sweet-savoury soup complement the smooth and silky koay teow very well. Accompanied by minced meat, fish ball, fish cake, pork ball and vegetables, it is delightful.

Hiong Tai Meehoon RM7.00
Hiong Tai Meehoon concists of deep-fried rice vermicelli till golden brown and crispy, topped with savoury-sweet gravy cooked with vegetables and meat. The crispy rice noodle soaked in gravy, created an enjoyable texture while fully absorbed the nice flavouring.

Sepitang Satay RM8.00
Sepitang Satay is a latest addition to Food City. The satay is marinated in a marinade that focuses on some amazingly fragrant lemongrass. It was sweet and tasty even without any dipping sauce. However, not to forget, the peanut sauce that came together with the satay was awesomely good.

Wor Tip RM7.00
The Wor Tip in Food City is consider one of the best I had tried. Its skin was crispy and chewy at the same time while its generous filling of minced meat made it tasted so mouth-watering and delicious.

Nyonya Seafood Tom Yam Noodle RM6.50
Another new addition to the food court is the Nyonya's stall which offers variety of pork-free Nyonya's dishes. The sourish and spicy Seafood Tom Yam Noodle was an appetizing dish, generously comes with fresh and succulent fish fillet, squid and prawn.

Pan Mee RM7.00
For your information, during the night, City Western Food's stall which doesn't serve pork, also offer Pan Mee with Chicken or Fish Ball. A bowl of Pan Mee consists of homemade noodle, fried anchovies, and minced chicken, served with a bowl of anchovies soup.
