I Lotus Seafood Restaurant @ Kepayan Point

Everyday Food I Love's team along with other invited guests were lucky to be invited to the newly open I-Lotus seafood restaurant to sample some of their signature dishes. This halal seafood restaurant is actually a branch of the much successful first outlet in Brunei. Located at Kepayan Point along the Penampang bypass, the branch is easily spot-able by the huge banner at the roadside.

Papaya Salad
The dish combines the four main tastes of Thai cuisine: sour, spicy, salty and sweet. Despite the use of papaya, which one may think of as sweet, this salad is actually savoury. The unripe papaya has a slightly tangy flavour while the texture is crisp and firm. Topped with succulent fresh prawn and sprinkled with roasted peanuts, it is a delicious yet appetizingly good dish.

Lotus Chili Crab (Market Price)
Lotus Chili Crab is a signature dish of I Lotus Seafood Restaurant made from their very own secret recipe. The unique flavours of the homemade chili sauce has a pleasant savoury taste with mild spiciness. Its rich flavours, however, didn't overpowered the succulent taste of the fresh crab.

I-Lotus Special Coconut Prawn RM18 (S) RM30 (M)
I-Lotus Special Coconut Prawn is another proud creation of the restaurant. Well, do not mislead by the colour of the gravy, it wasn't a curry dish. The yellowish concoction was made from varieties of spices and coconut milk. Its mildly spicy, slightly sweetish and creamy gravy tasted good as a dip for the fried bun.

Mango Fish (Market Price)
Deep-fried fish topped with delicious mango salad is another mouthwatering dish you can get from the restaurant. Break into the crispy, brown coating you will find a succulent and delicious piece of fish. The sourish and mildly spicy mango salad paired beautifully with the fish.
