Bamboo Cafe Location: Lower Ground, Next to Apple Cafe $$ Ratings: Food: 3.5/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Visit reviewed: 26/02/2010 We were at 1Borneo for movie, Wolfman, today. Before heading off for movie, we had lunch at Bamboo Cafe. We picked some dishes for our Economy Rice and ordered a Wat Tan Ho to share. Honestly, the Economy Rice was not bad and quite cheap. Taste wise, it is actually better than Apple Cafe. Even the Wat Tan Ho was good. It comes with plenty of fresh prawns. The gravy tasted just nice and fragrantly good. The serving portion was quite big as well. It was worth for money. Economy Rice (3 Veg + 1 Meat) RM6.50 Economy Rice (2 Veg + 1 Meat) RM4.00 Economy Rice (2 Veg + 1 Meat) RM4.50 Wat Tan Kuey Teow with Prawn, RM6.00

KAMPUNG NELAYAN Location: Bukit Padag, Taman Tun Fuad Stephen, the one situated on the lake. $$$ Ratings: Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 With the Lunar New Year upon us, reunions are the common synonym that runs with it. And with old classmates making a living elsewhere, we took this never-so-often chance to be reunited over a nice dinner. The menu: Yee Sang  A tradition for any Lunar New Year dish. To bring good fortune for the coming year ahead. The raw fish tasted pretty good but the rest of this dish was just average. Which is still not too bad. Next up:-  Hot Spicy and Sour seafood Soup The soup was not too bad, but it still lacked some vital flavors and fragrance. But the bits and pieces of seafood were actually quite fresh and chewy. So not too many complaints here. Steamed prawn This was probably the highlight of the evening. Although it was simple, but it was definitely fresh. The sweetness of the prawn will leave you wanting for much more. The dip...

There is a new restaurant near Lintas Supermarket. It was located at the first floor. The shop serves Hakka dishes. While making orders, Angeline spoke Hakka. All of us were surprise as it had been a long time since I heard her speaking Hakka.  Bitter Gourd with Beef, RM7.00 The Bitter Gourd with Beef was nice, just a bit oily. It tasted like homemade dish. Fragrantly good and the bitter gourd was not overcooked.  Chicken with Soy Sauce and Chinese Wine, RM7.00 The lady owner recommended the Chicken with Soy Sauce and Chinese Wine dish. It was good too. They added-in Shao Xing Wine to the dish and made it fragrantly good. Tasted like my mom cooking.  Sweet and Sour Chicken, RM7.00 The Sweet and Sour Chicken not only tasted good but look appetizing too. The chicken was ...
