The Return of Veg-Fest by Veg-Hub: Kuala Lumpur Edition
The event is organized by VEG-HUB, an online delivery platform for Vegan and Vegetarian Food, Personal Care and more, in collaboration with Malaysian Vegetarian Society (MVS), a non-profit, non-religious society representing the Vegans and Vegetarians in Malaysia. The presenting sponsor for the event is Harvest Gourmet, Nestle's plant-based range of products offering nuggets, burgers, cutlets, and stir-fry mince. The co-sponsors for the event are Lalamove, OatLife, and Nestle's range of Dairy-free drinks, while KL Gateway Mall are the venue sponsors.
This is the second edition of this event, and they will be hosting over 55 of the best vegan, vegetarian, and plant-based brands in Klang Valley as well as a few NGOs and expect over 18,000 visitors over the course of three days.
"The theme of this year's Malaysia VEG FEST-KL Edition is 'March on towards a Green Raya' with the idea of showcasing the amazing vegan and vegetarian choices available in this meat-loving nation. We are seeing an increase in the number of vegetarians and vegans who celebrate Raya and we want to use Malaysia VEG FEST as a platform to show the choices that are available in the market to help celebrate the festival in a greener way", says Ms. Gulshan Rai, founder and CEO of VEG-HUB.
"After the success of Malaysia VEG FEST 1.0 that was held in October last year, we are happy to be bringing the second edition of this event. The last edition saw over 15,000 visitors over a three-day period enjoy all the sessions and vendor offerings and so, this year, we have even more vendors and unique programs to engage the visitors. Over 75% of the vendors last year were sold out on all three days and that is saying something," added Mr. Mandeep Sidhu, Co-founder and Operations head of VEG-HUB.
The Opening Ceremony will be on Friday, March 17th, 10.30 am onwards. There will be around 55 booths featuring Vegan/Vegetarian/Plant-based food, personal care and more. Some of the renowned brands such as Sala, The Body Shop, Starbucks, Amazon Vegan, and Negative 12 Degrees will be bringing their specially curated products for the event. Some of the events planned this year include a sustainable fashion show, blind tasting events, engaging talks and demos/forums. Prominent influencers, chefs and celebrities such as Actor Sangeeta Krishnasamy, Davina Goh, Raw Chef Yin, Kana G, Arwind Kumar & many others will be attending the event this year. There is also a special program spearheaded by the winners of the Tuanku Bainun Young Changemakers Awards : 14 -year-old Chef Leah, Sheldon and Emerson - YouTubers with over 330k subscribers, and PBJAM - Plant-based Junior Advocates of Malaysia.
The full itinerary and all details can be seen on their social media @vegfestmalaysia. This would be an event that will bring forth the best of the plant-based community and move Malaysia forward on this path of adopting a greener lifestyle.

About VEG-HUB
VEG-HUB, formerly known as Zesty Clickz, was started by Ms. Gulshan Kaur Rai and her husband, Mr. Mandeep Singh Sidhu in April 2021 because, as vegetarians themselves, they found it difficult to find vegetarian food and products in a single place. Zesty Click saw immense success in just a year. As they delved deeper into this alternate lifestyle, they realised what they wanted was a one-stop-shop where they could find not only food but groceries, clothes, cosmetics... Everything. It was time to bring more choices to the vegan and vegetarian community. It was time to spread the message of compassion and it was time for a change to become bigger, better, and greener. Thus, came VEG-HUB, with over 100 merchants in just one year and over 10,000 orders and growing.
