Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Wuethrich the hotel’s new General Manager. In his new role, Martin will report directly to Rivero Delgado, Area Vice President, Singapore, Malaysia and Maldives. Prior to the appointment Martin was General Manager at Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa.
Martin is a native Swiss, he has a Diploma from the Higher Hotel Management School in Switzerland. He has been pursuing professionalism in the hotel industry for more than 20 years across different countries such as Switzerland, Thailand, Vietnam and India. His proven record of success has been recognised throughout the hospitality industry. He is the Winner of General Manager of the Year in India at the Hotelier India Awards. Martin’s extensive experience in the hospitality industry coupled with his great passion for operational excellence are proven in his consistent track record, which makes him a perfect fit to lead Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur team.
Martin has worked very hard in setting quality standards, benchmarking services and customer satisfaction. Given his natural leadership qualities, optimism and high degree of business acumen, he has put in enormous efforts to help Sheraton Bangalore at Brigade Gateway, India win “Best New Hotel of the Year South Asia” award at Hotel Investment Conference South Asia 2012 and also win “Hotel of the Year South Asia”. Earlier Martin also drove Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to win “Vietnam’s Leading Hotel” at World Travel Awards in 2009 and can also be credited with the property being voted as the “Luxury Hotel of the Year” at the Tourism Alliance Awards and Asia’s Leading Conference Hotel by World Travel Awards.
Martin strongly believes in the excellence of guest service model. He is passionately works on the development of his team to reach their best potential, and to create the best memorable experience for the guest.
