It's that time of the year again "Ramadhan" when Muslims fast from suhoor (dawn) to maghrib (sunset) for a month (June 6 to July 3 this year), all in the name of spiritual cleansing. And beautiful deliverance comes every night in the form of the fast-break called iftar. Historically, Muslims celebrated iftar at mosques or at home, but given this is Malaysia, nearly all restaurants offer awesome Ramadan buffets that draw in the crowds. And don't worry, non-Muslims: these buffets are also open to you! The Chefs at the Palm Hill Cafe also has started the fire in the barbecue pit for your family and friends. Get ready for a feast of delicious hearty servings of Whole Lamb, Grilled Minute Steak, Grilled Lamb Shoulder, Grilled Chicken Percik, Grilled Lamb Shish Kebab, Grilled Chicken Tikka, Otak Otak, Grilled Fish Tikka and the list goes on. Wide array of Malay cuisines featuring Nasi Parpu, Patin Masak Tempoyak, Masak Labu Daun Kunyit, Daging Dengdeng, Kacang Phool, Nasi Lemak Kukus Bersama Ayam Goreng Berempah, Lamb Korma ala Pakistan and the traditional Bubur Lambuk Daging to name a few. The highlights of kthe Iftar BBQ Buffet is Taka Tak which well known in Lahore, Pakistan the birth place of Chef Zahid Mahmood. Taka Tak is Chicken and Lamb minced with tomato, coriander leave and spices. It is best eaten with freshly made Naan Bread.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
At the dessert counter you can enjoy this specialty "Ommali" which is also known as the Middle East Bread and Pudding. Shakturea, Pengat Pisang, Chocolate Pudding, the famous Ais Batu Campur or ABC and Cendol Mamak....the list continue ranging from mousse to puddings to the traditional cakes.
