Phở Hải Triệu Restaurant at District 1 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Phở Hải Triều is a well-known pho (phở) restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, famous for its flavorful beef pho (phở bò) and crab noodle soup (bánh canh cua). It has gained popularity among locals and tourists for its rich broth, fresh ingredients, and generous portions.

Features of Phở Hải Triều:

1. Signature Dishes: - Phở Bò (Beef Pho): Their beef pho is highly praised for its clear, aromatic broth and tender beef slices.

 - Bánh Canh Cua (Crab Noodle Soup): A thick, hearty soup with crab meat, quail eggs, and chewy tapioca noodles.

 - Other options: They also serve phở gà (chicken pho) and hủ tiếu (pork noodle soup)

Mìến Gà Đùi (Chicken Thigh Glass Noodle Soup) – 9/10.
Phở Hải Triệu’s Mìến Gà Đùi is a comforting and flavorful dish that stands out for its rich broth and tender chicken. The glass noodles (miến) are perfectly cooked—soft but not mushy—while the star of the dish, the chicken thigh, is juicy and tender. The broth is light yet aromatic, with hints of ginger and chicken essence, making it a great choice for those who prefer a milder yet satisfying noodle soup.

The dish is served with fresh herbs, lime, and chili on the side, allowing you to adjust the taste to your preference. The portion size is generous, and the chicken thigh is meaty, making it a filling meal.

Gỏi Gà ¼ (Quarter Chicken Salad) – 8.5/10
The Gỏi Gà ¼ is a refreshing and well-balanced chicken salad. The shredded chicken is tender and flavorful, mixed with crunchy cabbage, herbs, onions, and a tangy-sweet fish sauce dressing. The addition of roasted peanuts adds a nice texture contrast.

While the flavors are bright and appetizing, I felt the chicken could have been a bit more generous for a "quarter" portion. Still, it’s a great side dish to share or pair with the miến gà for a complete meal.

Overall Experience: Phở Hải Triệu delivers solid Vietnamese comfort food with their Mìến Gà Đùi and Gỏi Gà. The broth in the miến gà is clean and soothing, while the grilled chicken thigh is a standout. The gỏi gà is fresh and zesty, though a slightly larger portion would make it even better.

Service is quick, and the restaurant has a casual, no-frills vibe typical of a local eatery. Prices are reasonable for the quality and location.

Final Verdict:

✔ Must-try: Mìến Gà Đùi (perfect for a light yet satisfying meal)

✔ Good addition: Gỏi Gà (great as a side or light lunch)

Best for: Quick meals, solo diners, or small groups craving authentic Vietnamese flavors.
